Greeting Card and Winter Scene

If you are done with your calendar project, you are to create a holiday greeting card using Publisher and a winter scene using OpenOffice Draw. You will do the winter scene only if you finish the greeting card. Below are the instructions:

Greeting Card

  1. Open Publisher and choose 'Greeting Cards' from the list.
  2. Select Side Fold Card or Top Fold Card.
  3. Click Yes when asked to automatically insert pages.
  4. At the bottom of your document you should see four pages. Page 1 is the front, 2/3 are the inside, and 4 is the back.
  5. Design a holiday greeting card for a friend or family member. You may use the pre-designed card templates in Publisher for ideas and you can also type "Holiday Greeting Cards" into Google images for ideas. However, you may NOT use a template for your design!
  6. Front of card MUST have a graphic, a border, and a message (e.g., Happy Holidays!, Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukah, etc...).
  7. Inside left must have a holiday quote with the author's name included (search for one on the internet).
  8. Inside right must be the message and include a small graphic.
  9. Back must include: Designed Especially for you by: Your Name © 2009. (To make the copyright symbol type ( c ) and then hit space. It will automatically be created.)
